Zanaqu
My last photo shoot of the year was with Andrea Volasko, up at her family farm in Mulmur, Ontario. We had a beautiful fall evening, low light and brisk winds. There are tons of frames still to go through, but I am already envisioning what some of the canvases are going to look like in the end. The shots are very inspirational.

The shots I am posting now are of her four year old stallion Zanaqu, by Goodtimes. I’ve been playing around on the computer with some interesting cropping and photo effects in sepia tones to get these images..so far, I’m liking it!

So now the last shoot is done, it’s time to hibernate into the studio and start painting away using all the ideas I’ve collected over the summer. I’ve got a few commissions to finish as I get going.
If you are interested in viewing, commission work is all posted on my other blog, http://jennprattequineartist.wordpress.com Most notably, I’m working on an a commission for a member of our Canadian Olympic Dressage Team, Jacquie Brook’s Gran Gesto, commissioned by her sponsor, also friend and client of mine, Gary VanBolderen of Dutch Masters Construction.
