*sigh*…yesterday I was out at Elegant Expressions farm just outside of London Ontario, to meet Cassandra Wunsch and her horses for my series. Let’s just say, I am still drooling today and probably still will be by the end of the week…:) Cassy has three beautiful horses, Golden Sunrise, pictured above, her newest foal Sampson, and her three year old filly, Golden Affirmation.
Sampson is by Canadian Warmblood stallion Sambuca out of her Swedish warmblood mare Golden Sunrise. He was easy to handle, shares his parents athletic ability, correct conformation and expressive head. Learn more about him here on the Elegant Expression website.
Golden Affirmation, her three year old, by Oxford out of Golden Sunrise, possesses the same balanced conformation and attractive features. What a pretty head, this one is going to be a winner in the hunter classes no question…

No doubt about it, Cassy is extremely lucky to own her broodmare Golden Sunrise. I honestly could not stop looking at her and taking pictures of her. I can’t wait to put her and her babies to paper and canvas. She has what you call ’presence’, the most beautiful, kind, expressive eye with a deep soul. She’s athletic, with big movement, but yet light and feminine on her feet. I believe this mare is truly special and her offspring no less, as she seems to have stamped both these foals with her traits…
She’s not for sale..trust me, I already asked…Think I might save up for one of her babies..in the meantime she will be an inspiration in the studio
