Sketches from the Series at Pear Home!

I’m proud to announce the Canadian Bred Artwork Series is catching on! Pear Home, my favorite home decor and gift boutique in Orangeville is now carrying note cards from the Canadian Bred Series, along with a few other popular images from my studio.

Amherst

Amherst is a colt that was bred by Shirley Woestenenk, who owns Clear-enk Stables  in Rockwood Ontario. She also bred Maragold, another member in the series. He is Mecklenburger/Hanoverian by the stallion Amateur. He has been sold to an owner who owns his full sister. Amherst

This was one of those sketches that just flowed out. I wanted the loose lines to create a feeling of movement. Subtle details suggest character and movement. It has been sold, which was difficult, because I was particularly attached to this little guy! :)
